Kaplan, 42, a Hollywood producer, took on most of the wedding planning duties, allowing Cooper to remain relatively stress-free. In an August 2024 episode of her podcast, Cooper opened up about sharing the news with Kaplan. “At this point, Matt and I were starting to get serious and we were dating, and for the first time—it just sucked, because I could really envision a future with a man,” she recalled. “I think I was scared to vocalize one of my biggest fears, which was the possibility that this mistake I made years ago was going to impact my fertility.” Kaplan responded with understanding and support, and after treatment, Cooper tested HPV negative six months later.
Cooper emphasized the importance of having a partner who stands by you regardless. “You know you have the right partner ladies, when they don’t give a f--k. And they are just there to support you and love you and it doesn’t matter,” she said.
