Brianna Chickenfry Calls Ex-BFF Grace O’Malley 'Evil' in Rare Comment

Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia publicly labeled her ex-best friend Grace O’Malley as 'evil' amid their ongoing feud, detailing tensions from fan backlash and personal incompatibilities during her past relationship with Zach Bryan. O’Malley previously expressed heartbreak over the end of their podcast and friendship but has not responded to the latest comments.

In a candid revelation that has reignited interest in their fractured friendship, Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia described her former best friend Grace O’Malley as “evil” during a recent podcast appearance, signaling no path to reconciliation between the two influencers.

LaPaglia, 26, made the comments on the Tuesday, February 17, episode of the “ImPaulsive” podcast, where she addressed the end of her once-close bond with O’Malley, 27. “We’re not friends. We’ll never be friends again,” LaPaglia stated firmly. She attributed the fallout to a combination of personal tensions and external pressures amplified by their online audience.

The drama traces back to LaPaglia’s year-long relationship with country singer Zach Bryan, 29, which ended in October 2024. According to LaPaglia, Bryan and O’Malley did not get along, creating an initial rift. However, she emphasized that deeper issues emerged beyond this incompatibility.

“There was a whole other s*** going on with her where our ‘Plan Bri’ [podcast] fans were really bullying me and I was like, ‘Grace, will you say something? Will you do something?’” LaPaglia recounted. She claimed O’Malley dismissed her concerns, responding, “No, it’s fine. It doesn’t matter.” At the time, LaPaglia was navigating what she described as a “really bad relationship,” making the fan backlash particularly painful.

LaPaglia explained that fans of their joint podcast, “PlanBri Uncut,” perceived her as a poor friend to O’Malley amid her romance with Bryan. She alleged that O’Malley enjoyed the attention from supporters, who “lifted her up,” while LaPaglia felt “weird and uncomfortable” about the dynamic. This discomfort ultimately led her to end the podcast before her breakup with Bryan was finalized.

The last episode of “PlanBri Uncut” featuring O’Malley aired in October 2024. Since then, LaPaglia has relaunched the show as a solo venture, while O’Malley debuted her own podcast, “Disgraceful,” in February 2025. These professional shifts underscore the permanence of their split, both personally and creatively.

LaPaglia further accused O’Malley of inconsistent behavior in the aftermath. “It just snowballed and spiraled. Then she goes on all these podcasts and says that she misses me and wants to be friends, but then behind closed doors in New York, she won’t talk to anyone that talks to me,” she said. LaPaglia added that O’Malley “ends friendships,” calling the situation “very dark and weird.” Notably, this marked the first time LaPaglia had voiced such strong sentiments publicly.

The two women, who rose to prominence through their comedic podcasting partnership, had built a significant following together. “PlanBri Uncut” often featured lighthearted banter and personal anecdotes, attracting fans who viewed them as inseparable best friends, or BFFs. Their collaboration began years earlier, fostering a sense of nostalgia among listeners as the duo navigated fame in the digital space.

O’Malley offered her perspective on the breakup in a December 2024 social media post, providing a contrasting view of events. “If you know me, you know I truly hate to be serious about anything ever, but sometimes you have to be,” she wrote, addressing the prolonged silence around “PlanBri.” She revealed that the original plan was for a joint statement announcing the podcast’s end, but circumstances derailed that intention.

Describing her emotional state, O’Malley said everything felt “weird and unfamiliar” at the time.

“[I’m] proud of what we built, nostalgic for all these years and frankly outright heartbroken that this chapter has closed,” she continued. “But, we agreed to make a joint statement, so I replied, cried, and chose not to repost or say anything until it was time.”
This post highlighted her reluctance to air grievances publicly, even as she processed the loss.

O’Malley also touched on the broader dissolution of their friendship, noting, “This last year, I bit my tongue so much that I shouldn’t even have one anymore.” She expressed willingness to wait out of respect but acknowledged that outcomes rarely align with expectations. “I most definitely did not foresee any of this EVER ending,” she added, emphasizing the unexpected nature of the split. While she hinted at unrevealed details—“I don’t think I’ll ever fully get into every aspect of how this came to be”—she framed the end as potentially beneficial in the long run, despite not being mutual.

Efforts to reach O’Malley for comment on LaPaglia’s latest remarks were unsuccessful, according to reports from Us Weekly. This lack of response leaves her side of the most recent accusations unaddressed, adding to the one-sided narrative emerging from LaPaglia’s podcast disclosure.

The feud has played out largely in the public eye, fueled by social media and podcast episodes that dissect personal relationships. Fans of “PlanBri Uncut” have expressed disappointment over the duo’s separation, with some speculating on platforms like Instagram and TikTok about possible reconciliations. However, LaPaglia’s unequivocal statements suggest such hopes are unfounded.

Broader context reveals how influencer dynamics often intersect with personal lives in the entertainment industry. LaPaglia’s relationship with Bryan, which drew significant media attention due to his status as a rising country star, added layers of scrutiny to her friendships. Bryan’s own public profile, including hits like those on his 2024 album, amplified the visibility of any associated drama.

As both women pursue independent paths—LaPaglia with her solo podcast and O’Malley with “Disgraceful”—the incident highlights the challenges of maintaining authenticity amid growing audiences. Industry observers note that such fallouts are common in the podcasting world, where personal chemistry drives success but can fray under pressure.

Looking ahead, the absence of a joint resolution leaves open questions about future interactions, especially in overlapping social circles in New York. For now, LaPaglia’s rare openness on “ImPaulsive” serves as a definitive marker, closing the door on what was once a celebrated partnership. Fans and followers will likely continue to parse these developments through new episodes and posts, but the era of “PlanBri” appears firmly in the past.
