Mikayla Nogueira prepared for what she described as one of the most difficult days of her life by applying a full face of makeup ahead of a court appearance tied to her divorce from estranged husband Cody Hawken.
The 27-year-old makeup artist documented the process in a video posted to social media, where she applied mascara to a smoky eye and admitted feeling nauseous. “I could throw up,” Nogueira said. “I would not wish divorce on anybody. This has been the hardest thing that I have ever gone through in my life.”
Nogueira explained that the day marked the official start of the legal process to end the marriage. She noted that she once viewed divorces as straightforward matters involving little more than signing documents, but has since learned otherwise. “It takes an extremely long time,” she said. “I at least have an end in sight because I do have a trial set for July.”
The influencer said she wanted to look like “a bad f***ing b****” for the first time seeing Hawken, 28, in months. She focused on a polished appearance, applying foundation while commenting that the makeup would “eat today.” Nogueira added that the meeting would involve major decisions and could end either with tears or a smile, depending on the outcome.
She planned to remain quiet during proceedings and let her lawyer handle the discussion. “If I open my mouth, I’m gonna say something stupid,” Nogueira said. “You all know I got a big mouth.” After finishing with a nude lip, she declared the look complete. “I told y’all I was gonna eat this makeup. This is f***ing filthy.”
For her outfit, Nogueira chose a black vest with white buttons paired with slacks. She accessorized with gold and diamond bracelets and watches, Christian Louboutin pumps, and carried a black Birkin bag. Her stated goal was to “serve c***.” Despite the uncertainty, she said she was entering the day with a positive outlook. “Whatever happens, happens,” Nogueira said. “I’m going in with a very positive mindset.”
Nogueira and Hawken were married for two years after dating for five. She announced the split in a February TikTok video, emphasizing that the decision was mutual and that the couple still cared deeply for each other. “Cody and I love each other so much,” she said at the time. “We would do literally anything for each other.”
In the announcement, Nogueira asked followers to respect their privacy and avoid speculation. She described the relationship as containing some of the best memories of her life and stressed that only she and Hawken knew the reasons behind the divorce. “The only people that know why Cody and I made this decision is Cody and I,” she said.
Following the announcement, Nogueira revealed she had reconnected with her high school sweetheart, Zach Panaggio. Reports of the divorce drew widespread online attention, which Nogueira said turned the situation into a source of jokes on the internet.
The court date represents an early step in what Nogueira indicated will be a lengthy legal process. A trial is scheduled for July, giving her a clearer timeline than many others facing similar proceedings. Officials have not released additional details about the specific issues to be addressed in the meeting.
Nogueira has continued sharing aspects of her personal life publicly while asking for space regarding the reasons for the split. Her posts have drawn both support and commentary from followers tracking the developments.
As the case moves forward, Nogueira said she remains focused on maintaining a constructive approach. She has not indicated whether further updates will be shared before the July trial date.
